How to download a Facebook video

01

Copy the video or Reel link

Open a public Facebook video or Reel. Use its Share menu to copy the link, or copy the individual video’s URL from your browser. Paste that link into the field above.

02

Choose the MP4 quality

Select up to 360p, 720p, or 1080p and press Prepare download. The tool uses the best available quality within your choice. Keep this page open while it prepares the file.

03

Save to your phone or computer

When your video is ready, press Save MP4. Find the file in your browser’s download location. You can use the tool in a phone or desktop browser without installing an app.

Use a link to one public video or Reel. Facebook Watch URLs, direct video URLs, Reel URLs, fb.watch short links, and facebook.com/share/v/ or /share/r/ links are supported. A profile, feed, or group homepage does not identify a single video.

For HD downloads, choose up to 720p or 1080p. The result depends on the quality Facebook makes available; selecting 1080p cannot add detail to a lower-resolution source. Choose a lower setting if a video exceeds the 250 MB file limit.

Facebook video downloader questions

Can I download Facebook Reels as MP4?

Yes, paste a link to an individual public Reel into the Facebook download form. Reel links and Facebook’s shared Reel links are supported. The same limits apply: a maximum duration of 30 minutes and a maximum file size of 250 MB.

Can I download Facebook videos in HD?

Choose up to 720p or 1080p before preparing your download. You will receive the best available version up to that setting. HD is available only when Facebook provides an accessible HD source; some videos may be available at a lower quality.

Does this work on iPhone, Android, and a computer?

The downloader runs in your web browser. On a phone, copy the link from the video’s Share menu, then paste it here. On a computer, you can also copy the individual video’s address. Press Save MP4 when preparation finishes and use your browser’s download location to find the file.

Can I download private Facebook videos?

This tool supports publicly accessible videos. Private posts, friends-only videos, and videos that require a Facebook login are unavailable. Use a link that opens as a public individual video without signing in.

Why won’t my Facebook video download?

The video may have been removed, made private, or restricted by Facebook. Check that you copied the individual video or Reel link. Videos longer than 30 minutes and files larger than 250 MB are not supported. If the file is too large, try a lower quality. Facebook can also temporarily prevent access to a public video.

How long is the download link available?

Download links expire after one hour, so save your MP4 while the link is available. Videos are temporarily prepared on our server. If the link expires, paste the original Facebook URL again to prepare a new download.

Can I download a YouTube video here too?

Use the YouTube video downloader for YouTube video and Shorts links. This page handles Facebook videos and Reels. The video downloaders section above has room for tools from more platforms in the future.
